uvlook 130-EM / uvlook 230
UV multispectral CMOS image sensor

A new UV multispectral CMOS image sensor with built-in fixed pattern noise (FPN) suppression, anti-smearing and anti-blooming, designed for UV imaging. Two models: 130-EM (1/4 inch / 1280×720 / 30fps / CSP) and 230 (1/2.8 inch / 1920×1080 / 60fps, CSP or COB). They turn many substances invisible to the human eye into live images.

Product overview

An imaging chip born for ultraviolet

The uvlook 130-EM supports a standard I2C interface for quick configuration of resolution, exposure time and gain in different modes; it provides both a parallel interface and a 1-lane MIPI data interface, delivering full-size 30fps high-definition images. The module is widely used for sunscreen coverage checks, skin dermis imaging, fingerprint/footprint/bloodstain search, pesticide residue detection and more.

Key features

Six key capabilities

From image quality to system integration — the design points module makers and solution providers care about most.

720p format imaging

1280×720 effective pixel array balancing image detail and processing bandwidth, ideal for mobile and portable devices.

Window cropping mode

Crop the output to a region of interest for higher frame rates and lower power in a smaller field of view.

Complete image processing chain

Mirror/flip, gain, defective-pixel correction and black level adjustment, reducing the load on backend processing.

10-bit / 8-bit output

Two data widths to choose from, trading shadow detail against transmission bandwidth.

1-lane MIPI + DVP

Serial and parallel interfaces for compatibility with mainstream ISPs and platforms, lowering platform adaptation cost.

Multi-camera / low power / low noise

Multi-camera operation, with power and noise optimized specifically for portable UV products.

New generation

uvlook 230 full specifications

The uvlook 230 is a new-generation UV multispectral CMOS image sensor for 1080p UV imaging: 1/2.8-inch optical format, 1920 × 1080 resolution, 2.9 μm pixel size, higher UV sensitivity and up to 60fps at 1080p. It is available in both CSP and COB packages, so camera module makers can choose freely to match their existing production process.

Higher UV-band sensitivity

Pixel structure and process are optimized specifically for the UV band, delivering higher contrast and stronger signal under UV light.

1080p Full HD

1920 × 1080 effective pixel array, a major step up in detail and resolving power over 720p.

1/2.8-inch optical format

A larger sensor captures more light per frame, making low-light UV imaging easier.

60fps @ 1080p

Up to 60 frames per second at Full HD, ideal for dynamic capture, live preview and video recording applications.

CSP / COB dual package

Choose CSP or COB packaging to match SMT or wire-bonding processes on your module line.

-20℃ to 80℃ wide operating range

A wider temperature range for outdoor, in-vehicle and harsh industrial environments.
